The most common way used to stop grinding teeth is the night guard. It may not eliminate teeth grinding but it will reduce the bad effects of it.
However, many people who suffer from severe teeth grinding tend to break their night guard and replace it every few months – a process which may be very expensive.
You should be aware that a night guard often costs between $300 and $600. Some people simply can not sleep with them so they spend their money for nothing.
The most important thing about a night guard is to find a good dentist to adjust it to your mouth. Only then, there is a chance to stop grinding teeth.
There are several types of night guards – some are soft and some are hard plastic ones which are considered better.
